(I know NUTTIN' about these so will start with that ... but the oddest thing: I have some how in the last month, managed to acquire 7 Berenguer baby dolls. Never had one before but my charity shop just kept getting em in and I just had to get them. Now I have to list them and have no idea where to start. They will languish in a dark corner for months as per my MO no doubt)
Four of them look like yours, @916Bulldogs123 ,with blue eyes though. Hope someone knows more as I am utterly clueless. They had the feel of expensive dolls to me, I usually avoid baby dolls but these felt weighty. But yes I think they are very modern.

I did research but don't know if they are JC toys or earlier. Berenguer has been making dolls since the late 40's. @judy

    Berenguer
The dolls of the renowned artist of Berenguer surname began to be manufactured from the year 1940. Since its inception, Berenguer dolls are famous for their innovative realism and the excellent way in which their artist embodies the gestures and expressions of a doll the little ones. In fact, the specialization of its brands is that of baby dolls with features and exciting realistic expressions.
In the early 90s, Berenguer was acquired as a brand by the large group JC Toys, which would divide the brand into three main lines that have remained in the style of the brand: Designed by Berenguer, Berenguer Boutique and Dolls by Berenguer.
The design of all its products is headed by Salvador Berenguer, having outstanding creativity and passion for perfection.
Designed by Berenguer is a line designed for the game, fun and cheerful, with a job not as elaborate as the rest so that the little ones can enjoy the game without parents being able to fear that they malogan the doll. Berenguer Boutique, on the other hand, is a line with more elaboration of the doll, already designed for collecting and for responsible and careful play - perhaps for older children.
For its part, Dolls by Berenguer consists of unique designs exclusive to collectors and children who want to enjoy a much more delicate game than usual.
The company is headquartered in Miami (USA) and its distribution and production subsidiaries are in Hong Kong and Spain. Although they still retain Castalla's production style, where the company grew since the middle of the last century.
Currently, JC Toys is dedicated to increasing the quality and shopping experience of its consumers, ensuring fun for all those who purchase a small Berenguer.

Value wise, I can't see where there would be a great deal of difference whether before JC or after.....My opinion only.

How do some Sindy Dolls get a 'Pedigree' ? Is there an agreed upon Grading/Authenticating company as there is for Coins & Baseball Cards ?

You are correct. Sindy is (one of ) my (many) Thing (s).

I personally think Barbie & Sindy are totally different but will concur they probably were rivals and catered to the same market. One is American, one is English so was really dependant on which side of the Pond you lived as to which one was *best*.
Barbie was first and Sindy soon followed. Young English girls were asked what features they'd like in a fashion doll and lo! Big headed Sindy was born.

Dr. Who,The Who & Sindy ! -British News,British Mysteries,Time Team,The V&A and British Museum Channel on YouTube- all helped Us stay sane during the Pandemic.
For Our 40th Wedding Anniversary my Blessed Lady got us a flat in London on the Chelsea Embankment. It was 8 months pre-Covid .
The Flat was beautiful.I was in the living room inspecting the antique desk and accidentally pulled-off the 18th century drawer handle . Stood there, mouth agape, holding the hand filed and chased brass pull .
We could only afford a couple nights there, still my fantasy apartment.Quite a City.
    Great finds all !
