I have these two brass brooches with blue rhinestones made of glass. Both are different styles and era's I believe but I'm not familiar with either. The triple flower brooch is older I think.. It has a longer pin and a simple c clasp. 3" width by 1.5" height. Could it be victorian? The circle 'filigree' is slighter newer I think with a more modern safety clasp... 2.5" diameter. Could it be 1940's? Neither have marks or stamps

Second one looks like Czech filigree.

Ahh thank you Houseful. Now I think I can find out much more about the filigree brooch with a term to start researching!

Ok I've researched some more and I'm going to say the Czech filigree brooch is 1940's. The 3 flower brooch is Edwardian early 1900's because of the overall style and the fact that it has a c clasp but a more rounded out hinge as opposed to the victorian tube hinge.

I'm going to be an expert on dating brooches someday. One brooch at a time. LOL

Oh my goodness. Well that would make it 1950's-60's? ...But why does it have such a long pin and c clasp like much older brooches.... I will never be an expert at this. lol

I've seen riveted Vs on 30s stuff and I think that's what this is. Czech one is a similar age.

Sometimes the outer rolling part of a roll-over clasp comes apart, leaving only the center “c” section…. I believe that’s what has happened here. Also - take a close look at the base of the hinge, where the pin is attached - seems that has been turned toward the inside (look at opposite side which seems to have the correct orientation) - which would elongate the pin. Just an observation based on what I’ve seen before.

It also appears to have plastic rhinestones. This I assume would indicate a repair or that it's much newer work made in an older style.
