Anne Klein?

Hi everyone!

A couple months ago I visited a local antiques show and fell in love with this piece. The seller said it had the designers name on it, but truthfully I didn't care, I just knew I wanted this. Came home and saw it had an Anne Klein tag attached, and after too long of searching it seams, didn't find anything on this particular piece. Due to how low quality the rope is, I wonder if the seller lied? Does anyone know if this really is by Anne Klein, and if not, a lead to the real creator?

The felines head is made of porcelain and painted with metallics. The roping is strongly attached inside and doesn't move. From nose to ears it's 6cm high and from eyebrows to back is about 5cm.

That's what I thought too. I've found a bag by her with her lion logo, but no other wild cat.

 

Her company trademark is a lion's head, but there's no reason she couldn't have made other animals.

 

This looks familiar. I may even have one. I've seen other feline anne Klein pieces. 1980s.
