I bought 2 pieces today. One is Tiffany's candles holder. At least I think it is...
The second is Black Frost and Star teapot or kettle of some sorts.

Any idea what this kettle suppose to used for and how old these items are?

Black Starr and Frost was established in 1874 and according to Sterling Flatware Fashion is still in business. Makes it difficult to estimate in that range.

The last major change to the Tiffany's mark was supposedly in 1965, when they eliminated the director's initial, so I agree that the item dates from then to the present.

Tiffany stopped using the sans-serif type in 1965.

The coffee pot was for something hot, hence the insulators in the handle. They look like ivory.
