    Ok, this is not my area but my parents had a huge mirror that had a similar decorative mirrored piece on it from when they first got married in the 1950's. It ran the whole size of their wide dresser.
    Wait for the experts and see what they say.

    I only know this because they show up at the auction house quite regularly & Bill always calls them by that name. :happy:

    I wondered that, too. I associate the term "Venetian", with much more ornate mirrors... ones that have fine decorative etching, etc.
    This one looks rather plain... and looks possibly mid-20th century.
    That said, I'd love to have it in my living room!

    "Venetian" implies "Murano" (said to be made 'one and the same' from what I'm reading!), which also means hopefully the seller is hoping to get more $$$!
