Hey again! Do any of you have any idea how old this fine showcase is? It was found in Slovenia, but maybe it came from former Austro - Hungarian space. I think that it is from the late 19. century, because of the "onion" legs, but maybe it is even older? I tried to find some similar but i am a bit sceptic about age on those that i found... For every help and thought I will be grateful.
If from the late 19th century, it was very old fashioned, so I'd venture a little earlier--But the glass looks new, though.
is it yours? the photo's look so professional, like for sale at an auction.. I see no dust or dirt .....was it cleaned professionally ? it's very pretty...
It may not be visible in the pictures, but the glass has a lot of irregularities, which means that it is old ... even the mirrors on the back are supposed to be original ... which can be seen in thickness - on the upper sides it is thinner than below Yes luckily it's mine we like to do our best with pictures, but here is one original because they were photoshopped, lack of space..
I would have expected the glass to be beveled, that's all. Very nice. The silver lining where you are is that there is no chance of it being a 1950s revival!
