I visited the local antiques mall today. I don’t normally bother as it’s mostly marked up retail Cotswold tourist prices but OH said he wanted to look round and I wasn’t going to disagree!
Anyway one trader was asleep at the wheel as in their glass cabinet was a little pile of three necklaces, two pearl ones at £5 each and a cherry Bakelite at £7.
I know the markings on the clasps are most likely just findings manufacturers but I thought worth a shot.

The least interesting ones, dyed freshwaters but any idea of the makers stamp? CA5C2D4E-F66C-4EBC-BB06-CC2DE034811A.jpeg 2F027FE0-FDC6-4E2D-92AA-822C9FD9A7B0.jpeg F388EE7C-B356-43E1-8887-E0D78E26541A.jpeg
These are really lovely. A 14k clasp and the pearls look to be good quality. Are these likely Chinese with those knots or Japanese Akoya? I struggle with pearls to know what I’ve got other than the freshwater ones.

And just because I can’t quite believe a trader missed these, Cherry Bakelite (tested) strung on a chain.

Even the chap who opened the cabinets seemed surprised at how cheap they were. I must check out those cabinets more often! Thankyou for looking :)

Cherry prystal bakelite? Score! 17 pounds the lot? Asleep at the switch is right. The maker's marks on the pearl clasps only pertain to the clasps is my guess. But cherry bakelite for a tenner? I'd check that booth again. :greedy::greedy::greedy:

Wow...amazing find. In regards to the first pearl necklace, makers stamp 'H' could be Honora.

Agree with @mekanah18 the strung pearls look like Honora, they do use ringed pearls, much of their stock was sold via QVC. The stylised H is their logo.

The interlaced W's is a logo you see on Chinese made items also sold via QVC. I'm not sure of the actual factory, but I see them around regularly. They supply a very wide range of jewellery.

Yep, £5 each for the pearls and £7 for the Bakelite :smug:
I’ve been well trained on here.
My OH said ‘How do you do that, I swear you sniffed out the only piece of bargain gold in the whole place AND you did it through glass on a dark shelf’.
    Yep, well trained!

    Brilliant, Thankyou :)

Thankyou. That fits with the knots looking Chinese too.

I'd say Honora. I picked up a bracelet of theirs a couple of weeks back, there's a post of mine with its label.

I found a necklace today with station pearls on a gold-colored chain marked with the H and Stainless Steel. Left it there for the next guy. It was Honora; they must be making some lower-priced stuff now.

This one has a sterling clasp but I’m not overwhelmed with the quality. The other set are way nicer.

Yves Rocher was popular here a while ago. Once did a student job at one of their shops and had a brilliant time there.
They used to gift the jewelry when you bought perfume/make up etc.
Lots of people bought from catalog in the days.
They actually had some jewelry that was decent like sterling silver rings and murano glass bracelets too.
