NS Salem Rocker Mark Info

Hello!

I am trying to get information regarding the mark on chair bottom. It is different from the usual shield I would see from Nichols and Stone. Any help is appreciated!

Also, am I posting this question correctly?

Welcome, Connie! Yes, you've done a proper job of posting your chair and it's mark for identification. I can't help, but someone else will along.

 

It's always best when posting images to remember two things: use an UNCLUTTERED background, and just before posting click on the very TOP list of images that says to post 'every image FULL SIZE'!! It will post them ALL at once!! Thanks!!

This one on ebay looks to be the same as yours, and I'm assuming NICHOLS & STONE is the maker????? That's an assumption on my part and could be totally wrong............there are others with different baskets of fruit on ebay as well......this is in the UNSOLD area!!

Here is a picture (originally posted right here on Antiquers) that looks an awful lot like the one on your chair. I have no doubt it's real.

 

No one fakes rockers; they're such a hard sell there would be no point.
