    Hello,
I have been trying to price this chain but there is a confusing array of prices out there! I wondered if anyone here has some insight about a realistic price to set. Marked 9C gold (testing for at least 9c or over) 49 cm long (approx 19.5”) weighs just over 16 grams. Thanks! Have you worked out a melt value as a starting point? I know that’s not what you want but it gives you a place to start for the value of the gold.

They are quite sought after, especially in a fancy link style. I would start at 3 to 4 x scrap and consider reasonable offers.

Not surprising; until recently the idiots in the US government (more a redundancy than truism) didn't recognize 9k as a gold standard. The 9K stuff tends to be British and land in Commonwealth countries if exported.

The usual vintage dealer price calculation is scrap weight(doubled) + design value + fancy name (if any) = the resale price. Triple scrap is about the same is my guess.

I’ve never seen that type of chain link. Very cool!

Looks like a very nice pocket watch chain with a nice length. Could easily be used as necklace putting the clasp in front with a low gold content locket attached using the short charm or fob chain. That way it could revert, at some time in the future, to a single Albert pocket watch chain. I would definitely ask 4X the gold content.
