I'm trying to figure out what to call them, besides a graduated strand. I'm pretty sure the're Venetian because they're knotted onto multi-colored string, and that's Italian as often as not.

Ooh, those are nice! I’d have had those away!
I’ve not seen that colour/pattern before though.

I wore nail polish like that in the early 70s.

I don't think they are satin glass. I could be wrong but whenever I have seen satin glass beads they are never a shiny finish, they have a soft, frosted finish. Whatever they are, they are pretty!

Me either. I want to keep them, but when/where would I wear them? Probably never. (sigh) But they're so freakin' cool.

I have lots of gorgeous beads I will probably never wear! I keep them until they are either permanent favourites or I’ve fallen out of love with them and move them on. As long as I haven’t over paid I’m fine either way.

My problem is I ran out of space for that about 25 strands ago. I may just have to find room for these though.

The beads in your necklace are gorgeous. They look to me like Czech satin glass. Vintage Czech swirled multicolor glass necklaces are rare and very collectible. Here's one of mine.

    OOh NICE!

Speaking of nice, who's the furry friend in your avatar? The one highly unhappy with her maid outfit? I'm owned by a gray longhair named Genie the Houdinicat.

My little French Maid is Yeni. That was her 2019 Halloween costume. I knew she didn't appreciate it as she remained motionless as if tazed after I put it on her. But it looked so cute! She came from Brooklyn ACC in 2011, where she ended up after being abandoned in a park next to an expressway. She was posted on FB to be euthanized, but she was also given a glowing temperament report. So I decided we had to go get her. 10 years later and she's a little doll.

Genie came from a New York rescue too; she was found in a colony, but colony cat she ain't. Can't catch a mouse and won't eat anything but "her" food. She was also already fixed. She was shipped to a no-kill here in CT where I ended up with her.
