The lapis and the chrysocolla beads ...bingo!

Picked this up for $25 today at a charity shop. Kosta Boda. Already got the eBay listing written. Should be able to triple it. The mark is where the price sticker was.

Are those the blue loose beads? I had no idea what they were!
I love lapis and it’s often missed in charity shops as being worthy of a second look.
Got it! It’s stunning, I’ll keep my eyes open for more :)
‘Chrysocolla is a blue green crystal with a high copper content. It is opaque in transparency with a vitreous to dull luster. Chrysocolla is a Phyllosilicate mineral often found in rounded masses, vein fillings or crusts. It is also made up of Malachite, Cuprite, Quartz, Azurite, and Limonite’

Azure-malachite is what yours look like. Looks like you have some lapis beads too - newer ones. The older ones have fewer pyrite inclusions. The really old style beads have almost none at all to zero.

Found in my own pile of costume jewelry to be put out in my mall booth. 14k lapis pendant, unmarked, was on a big gold tone chain. Luckily I test everything that isn't magnetic, and even some that are magnetic, before selling. Still, a near miss on a decent bit of gold, I'm guessing 7+ grams.
Too bad the stone has several cracks, so I will probably have to scrap. If costume, I could sell with the cracks as they are not that bad, but I don't think anyone would pay what I would have to charge with all that gold.

Haven't set one yet. Won't be able to get it listed on eBay until next month.

Some scrappers aren't too bright, and some people selling stuff for scrap are selling inheritance they want shut of, or gifts from an ex. Same reaction. If you can't burn it, melt it.
As for the ruby - 1920s filigree. The stone may be synthetic if so, but even so..wheeee.

Probably didn't like the poor repair on it with the excess solder .

Thanks everyone! I stop at the scrapper regularly. He said he hasn't had much but people selling for the last few months. Works for me :)

Our scrappers here are very far away, most in Philly.

I love the DVF dress. I used to measure every inch of a garment when I sold a few things on ebay, never had a return. I always used the word "approximately" when giving measurements and measured with length to spare. No returns.

Not much going on here yet.... there are a few semi-annual community sales coming up, haven't seen the March or April one advertised yet....strange, the March on should be at the end of the month, April third week. And then May opens up. I would have gone to the flea market this weekend, but we decided to do yard work, and I bought pansies and a snapdragon hanging basket (LOVE). I love snapdragons and they are amazing in a hanging basket, never saw one before!
