    Hello Antique Experts,

First order of business, thank you for all the help and knowledge transfers from past IDs. It has made me a better picker! You guys/gals ROCK!

I have acquired a lovely serving bowl which I believe is mid to late 19th century English transferware. Unfortunately the mark on the bottom is blurred to heck, however, the patina, weight and pattern definitely scream it's age!

    Measurements are 11 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 3 1/2"

    Any help is always appreciated!

The bottom portion I think might say T Godwin. There was a Thomas Godwin but so far I haven't found a mark like this of his.

The middle looks like Wac... Wap...? Maybe?

Interesting and a good find! I found what could be an explanation for the mark in Coysh & Henrywood's Dictionary of Blue and White Pottery. Apparently the same mark was used with different maker's names, if this is indeed the same mark they are talking about. They show neither the mark nor the pattern.

Why the pattern is reversed I'm not sure.
