Just as long as he gutted and skinned them first ... and is making burgoo!

Today I found a way to burn expensive gasoline. Got a twin-sized 1970s bright pink blanket, a fleece throw that will be a quilt back, and a Pierce Kensinton Cottageware teapot. Total spend $7 plus gasoline. Hope to sell the teapot locally; the other two are staying here.

A suprise package showed up in the mail today too from a boardie. I can't remember her username (messaged her on Facebook) I got beads to mess with and some beading cord and needles just for giggles! They're making my fingers itch.

One guess, it's a size "which leg fits into this thing again"? Kind of like the cool shoes I found today, all size 1 toe.

Measure EVERYTHING on the dress and post all of it. Vintage size 10 is not modern size 10, and you can bet some idiot buying on their phone would get it and then complain it didn't fit. I might post the modern size in the title too.

Good point about vintage sizes. I think this dress is contemporary though.

FWIW I sold a new old stock pair of thermal underwear that was still sealed in the pkg. There was a size Med on the plastic bag it came in.

I wrote in my listing that it was called a size Medium but since it was decades old, I was not sure by todays standards if it was a today's Med. Obviously being sealed in the pkg there was no way to measure it and there were no measurements on the plastic.
I was very clear to state it may not fit. A buyer gets it and dings me in the feedback and says it did not fit her and there was no way it was a medium and she was very unhappy.
And that my friends is why I no longer sell apparel.

It is the Diane Von Furstenberg classic wrap dress as well as the LBD (little black dress) that everyone looks for so I think it will sell quickly.

I got these tips from my cousin in AZ. She only sold clothing on ebay for many years. In the beginning, she assumed people would know to measure the same type of item or that they measured at all. They didn't.

Use this sentence before the measurements, specifically use the name of what the item is, like shirt, sweater, jeans, pants, dress........

"Please compare these measurements to the ___________you currently wear since different companies can vary in size and vintage items run smaller"

Also, let them know if the material has some stretch or give, or none at all. She said she would receive returns because people assumed it would stretch.

After it sells and before shipping, send an email asking if they compared measurements and letting them know the order can be canceled if it turns out not to be the right fit.

I sold several clothing items when I had my shop on Ruby Lane and never had a return using these tips. There were two sales cancelled after I sent the "did you measure" email. Saved both me and the buyer lots of headaches.
