They look very old but I'm not sure where there from. They have no locking mechanism and there is no maker marks that I can see. One of them has a sticker taped on it with some writing but I can't make it out. It looks like it has been there for a whil. Im afraid to remove it. The larger one seems to be made from horn because some of it is transparent. I found 18th century sailors knives that look similar but I'm not sure. The horn handle knife is 11" long and the other 9" with the sticker. Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Thank you

  3. They are sharp functioning knives. I've looked everywhere but I don't see a maker mark. Maybe if they where cleaned I could find someting. The estate sale was in St Louis Missouri. It was full of antiques and collectables. I also picked up some 18th century shavers. I just recently got them.

The one on the left looks like a French/Spanish pruning knife,no way to date it since they have been made for at least 200 years.

They look similar to the old orchard pruning and harvesting knives once used here in the Rogue Valley. s-l500.jpg
