I think in regards to Pyrex one reason is this.

People want to buy the bowls that their mother's or grandmothers had because they bring back memories. I have my mother's set of bowls here. I can remember her making Toll House cookies in the largest one.

There was a lull in Pyrex for a few years, but it has come back again to be desirable. I only wish depression glass would make such a huge comeback.

Is there a mark to the right of the bendable end of pin? Black pottery: did you check potters at Santa Clara?

I think perhaps you mean me / my pot? I did find a Lorencita Naranjo Tafoya from Santa Clara online, and there's also apparently an older Lorencita from San Ildefonso. The pot looks more San Ildefonso to me than it does Santa Clara, but there was always cross-over and how it looks is not always a safe way to identify these pots.

    Thanks for the advice!

I did a clearance in the next village last week, the guy died last July and the family wanted the house clearing, they said there would be nothing of real value as it had been picked through for several months.
They paid me for my time and for rubbish removal.

They must have searched with their eyes closed because look what I found in under an hour.

7 Sterling picture frames which were in the bin.

Davey, did you test the purse for Bakelite? Usually those plastic chains are celluloid, not Bakelite. Either way it's a beauty and a nice haul!

You are correct, it is celluloid and needs a repair.

That one paid for the dog food for a while! 70 quid ought to buy a bit of it, although the way a growing horse like yours can eat maybe not so long.

I'd check that one bracelet in the "costume" pile, the one without a clasp, just in case of surprises. Unless the stones are glued of course.

And they paid you to haul it off. Must have been searching with their readers off!

Pic 2, it is better than a trinket tray, it is a coaster for holding a bottle of wine. Nice haul.
