I've no questions, I'm just sharing a couple cushions I recently picked out of my mother's collection. I use a lot of florals in decorating!

These cushions were made from silks that were given away free in packets of Kensitas cigarettes in the 1930s in the UK. Even 90 years later, the colo(u)rs are bright and fresh and they look like new.

KENSITAS SILK FLOWERS is an interesting source of info on collecting these little beauties. :)

They are destined for my bed... when I get around to revamping the decor with the new curtains and bed spread that I already bought. :shame:

They are quite lovely and unassuming in pretense, each one is a beauty! :)

Thank you for sharing. I have never seen them before but will now be on the look out. Doubt I will ever find any, but worth knowing.

That is so neat. I will make a mental note but chances are I won't be lucky enough to find any.

I found lucite coasters a few summers ago in the packaging that were premiums given out with a cigarette brand. I bought a few of the pkgs, NOS from a lady who was smoking like a chimney at her garage sale. Thank goodness the stuff did not stink too.
