Graffiti art painting ...

Somehow I couldn't leave this painting at the thrift for $11.99. (Esp. since they have a return policy.) Wasn't sure what to call it other than "graffiti art".

Should I try to research further? There is a possible signature last photo, but that also might just be squiggly lines. It's not my normal thing, but does have some energy to it. I also got curious since it seems to have "93" which might be the year made or not, but somehow was another reason to get it. Fairly large, you can see it next to the chair.

What are thoughts? Should I research further?

 

I really like it and would have bought it too. Suggest ask a local kid if that's local graffiti and if not, there may be some websites devoted to the source of this style. If it were mine, I would probably ask anyone possible locally first. I think this is a self portrait, and feel this artist may no longer be alive, but that's all my wag.
