Schweppes Limited Porcelain Lined Siphon Bottle found its way home to my house and also a coke bottle from Detroit.

Hi Marko, I'm just catching up a little. I don't know how readings in the gem tester would compare, but, on visuals alone, white topaz is a possibility. It is quite sparkly.

No idea if they’re worth anything, and I don’t really care, because I love them! One is cleanish and one is still dirty.

It went surprisingly well given the state of the place and how hopelessly stuffed the house was. Apparently at one point there were 75 people in line.

Good point! Should I take this down? Or just make a new one? Or both?

@Born2it - you really don't need to delete any comments made on this thread because if you do it will mess up the flow of the "conversation". You can either ass to the previous discussion or start a whole new one as @evelyb30 said above.

Glad it went well BTW. :D:D

    Thanks! I think so too.
I have no idea. All I know is they are from before 1980.

I went to biannual antique show yesterday. I almost didn't go because the last show hardly had any vendors. But this show they were back.
This will be posted on Bronwen's cameo thread. Goldwashed 800 silver. 20220306_094805.jpg 20220306_094810.jpg
    Little GF locket
    20220306_095505.jpg
GF scarab bracelet. I have a zillion, but I loved how the colors and stones are a bit different than most, and the price was right.

    Little $5 six-legged spider brooch

And this has it's own thread in jewelry.

Not found much lately but we have a new recycling shop opened next to out local tip(dump) where I got this 1930s ish H&P bikkie tin for £1. It’s in such great condition.
Jumble sale; Nice oblong AB beads for £1, not sure of the green stones, might be Jade and same question on material with the others, definitely not bakelite. Will test with uv…..Just done that. It’s not amber. Got some damage:(

Lamp may be Rembrandt. Not really a torchiere. The diffuser shade is meant to have a cloth shade sit on top of it. The diffuser shade looks like the Rembrandt type. However, it may not be original to the lamp.

Your first chair is a 20s-30s porch chair, designed to fold for storage. The other one is an artisan chair made by many craftspeople and also imported over the years. Design is 70s or so but probably still being made.

    DSCF7829.JPG DSCF7828.JPG @Marko - that cameo. Yowza.

The amber beads are probably just that. The green ones are... green. ^5 on scoring that Huntley & Palmer's tin! I found one here precisely once; they don't turn up in the USA at all.

I went to two stores after church. The first one opened at noon. Got there at 12:30 and called the posted number. Not opening at all today. Went to the second one and sent my "good" leg number (hasn't gotten better thanks to the rain coming in) looking around and finding zero. The lady offered to sell me a steel mesh handbag for $20, but ...too much surface rust, and the shutdown is looming. Last year I'd have bought it.

On Saturday I lucked into these two. One is a piece of Cinderella Pyrex - made in 1961 and only sold to distributors. Never sold retail. The vase is signed art glass. I'll start a thread for it because I can't read the siggie.

Not crazy money on either of them. A similar vase was auctioned with an estimate of USD$60-80. I'll probably give it to my niece for her birthday. She's seriously into glass-blowing. The Corning is oddly blue glass underneath, and it has the lid, but the pattern is only selling for about $90-$100 retail. I hope to move the Pyrex locally. Won't make as much but no USPS breakage possible.
