Featured Milk Glass Pitcher with Embossed Floral Design

This pitcher's maker and design seems to be a bit more obscure; I don't find anything like it in Google images. It stands approx. 10" high.

Any insight as to maker, design, and age?

 

Just a guess. Imperial?

Why on earth would someone put paint on a lovely white pitcher.....too bad on the hairline crack in yours, @Flashback!! But then a nice display of artificial flowers or dried???

 

I never heard of Riverside glass. live and learn.

 

There are no cracks; it's the molding seams.

(And there seem to be a lot of tiny cracks around the perimeter of the bottom of the base?)

 

@bluumz, yep, I'm sure that's what @Aquitaine was seeing / referring to. It's along the seam. The vase itself is solid. I'm pretty sure it's in the making, and speculate it's attributable to the era and materials used in the glass. (I've seen this type of faint crackling in, say, akro agate pieces.)

 

Yes, @bluumz, that's exactly where I was referring to, NOT a SEAM, but up and curved to the right a bit more......hairline .... and it may just be minor.........

I love that. Would also make a nice vase. I have sold a lot of Milk glass but nothing like that.

 

That is the location of one of the seams, and this pitcher has a textured surface. If you compare the photos, you can tell that the location is where the seam is. This is a pretty thick molding and I can assure you there is no crack there.
