May I ask for help learning more about this item?

Hello! I acquired this dish/container a while ago and after doing some Google image searches and Replacement searches and getting nothing, I gave up.

Fast forward to now, after cleaning off as much gunk as I can, especially off of the handle, I'm hoping there is someone here that can point me in the right direction of possible age? Make? Etc? It's quite heavy for a small dish and I'm only guessing it is crystal from the sound it makes and the rainbow sparkle in gives off in the sunlight, but there's a good chance I'm wrong with that and it's simply glass.

Hi! You call it "small" but there's nothing in your photos to give a sense of scale and you don't mention any measurements.
Offhand, it looks rather like pressed glass to me but others here have way more expertise so do wait for their opinions.
