    I agree,but an expensive gift shop item.. And maybe a bit older and better quality than most of the current stuff.

    Can you tell me what about the casting suggests that? Is it the seams? Can you tell me about the methods that are used to make older mortars and pestles? I know they are either cast or spun on a lathe.. when was each method used?(Trying to learn all I can here)

    4 use the m&p need to be smooth...all over..
    4 decoration....they don't..

    What is the assessment for age? Did they ever make these type of items decorative in the 100-200 years ago past? Or is this an expensive gift shop item from the 60s lol. I’m still a big fan. I love weird stuff and it wasn’t to expensive to acquire. Fits perfectly on my curiosity shelf.
