image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg The story goes that these two 'dolls' came from a castle in Germany - or France. There is a French connection in the family but no actual provenance.
She is just over 19" and he's just under, the bases are approx. 6.75" - I couldn't get the better photos to load (files too large error) so I hope these are sufficient for your opinions. The marks on the bases really are quite blurry, it's not just the photos.
Only found one similar mark and it said Germany but have seen no statues similar in size and style, none with teeth and toenails. The base coloration looks similar to Vion & Baury but nothing else does.
Can anyone help with origin, age, and value? There is some damage on the boy.
    Thanks all!

Thank you! The description on the first link coincides with our understanding of these so seems we can rely on that. Amazed you found the same children, I have been looking for several years.
Thanks for this, I had not seen it - interesting discussion. Hopefully someone will solve the mystery of the Blue R someday!
