My Intro Jon L

    Hi there all - I am recently retired engineer. I am a rather eclectic collector - antiquarian books (18th/19th century non-fiction ~500 volumes), ancient Greek and Roman coins, and banana stickers. I also have an interest in old radios and victrolas. Pre-covid, I enjoyed prowling antique shops and markets with family and friends for nothing specific and lots in general. Now I'm resigned to the internet. :^) For the time being....

    :jawdrop::hilarious: OMG, I collected banana stickers as a child in the 1970s! I stuck 'em all on the inside of the broom cupboard door. I remember that back then, the Chiquita stickers actually listed what country that particular banana batch came from, it was quite interesting.

    I stopped actively collecting about 5 years ago. I have about 1500 of the little beasts in poster frames that add color to the walls of my library.
