I found this at a local thrift store yesterday - it's a Pierre Cardin jacket made of wool (20%) and made in Hong Kong.
    What year/s is this from?
What should I call it when listing for sale? Bomber? Varsity? To me it looks like a military cadet's jacket?
Also something that seemed unusual to me is the typed looking description tag under the Pierre Cardin tag?
Thank you for any help with this.

It's a raglan-sleeved bomber jacket with blouson back. Manufactured by a Pierre Cardin licensee which means the French designer Cardin was not involved in its design. Probably 1970s given made in Hong Kong and non-natural fibers. The WPL number identifies the manufacturer as Eagle-Freedman-Roedelheim which was formed by company mergers in 1958 so that's an earliest date. They manufactured men's shirts in Pennsylvania but by the time your jacket came along they'd seems they'd moved manufacturing abroad (as most American companies had.)

If it's not by Pierre Cardin does it have any value?

A hard sell, I'd think. He was so widely licensed. (There are over 26,000 listings for Pierre Cardin currently on eBay!) Some of his leather bomber jackets seem to find a market though.

I think there are plenty of collectors out there who buy anything Pierre Cardin particularly since his death and the release of the film. You’ve got lots of keyword: Pierre Cardin, MCM (maybe a stretch but not by much-it could be later 60s)bomber jacket, checks, etc, Cool piece.

"By 1995, Cardin had 904 licenses globally and was called “The licensing king,” which wasn't a compliment."

Absolutely true but times change and almost 20 years later much of that crap is collectible. A friend recently got $100 for a couple of stupid Cardin small glass vanity jars. I would have sold them for $10 at a garage sale.

Helpful to see a photograph of the jars. Price might be explained if they carried the designer's iconic logo.

Legally it is Pierre Cardin and a large percentage of the stuff listed on the internet was license
No logo and similar can probably be found-I’ll look. They were multicolor geometric transfers on glass. They were sold to MCM collectors. They were great IMO but not something I’d buy.

I don’t remember them exactly but bet they were from this series. Certainly similar. There was a small script transfer sig and they had covers. A pair in I think orange/red and blue/purple. They were fun. They’re actually a major steal now LOL compared to the original asking. Someone will buy them at this price but I would have fallen over if the first asking flew. https://poshmark.com/listing/Pierre...ure-Low-Ball-Glasses-5b394db8aa57199c7c7849c7
