What is implied in the above good responses is that this is called an ogee clock. An ogee is the name of the curve used in the molding for the mahogany veneer frame making up case. These date to about the 3rd quarter of the 19th century. As indicated, values tend to be low. There were tons of these made and many survive. The fact that yours is in non-working order does not help. The White House painted scene is a plus but the damage to it is unfortunate. This could be restored in all aspects, but I imagine the cost to do so would exceed value.

Looks like it may be a weight driven clock... may have two pully's on top for weight's ? If the movement has springs, it's not weight driven. The open center dial was popular 1860-80. Fewer and fewer clocks were weight driven after 1870.

Great info, especially from @verybrad . Weight driven ca. 1880 or so, big split up the back, etc. Probably a 30-hour movement. We have a Seth Thomas of the same era, approximately the same size, still works great, that has been in the family for 150 years. We were disappointed to learn that $50 at auction would be optimistic, probably closer to $25, and if you don't need it in the house don't even try to hold out for any $; you might as well give it away and feel thankful if someone takes it.
