Can’t tell if this is BB, BF, or BE? Anyone know the mark? Can’t find a good match for any of them. 5E454123-A83B-4922-8D61-C2D04526140A.jpeg 5EB1DCDC-2B35-47A7-AA8C-02DC8AC438CA.jpeg

Are there any other marks? Looks like Bishton & Fletcher, but should have more marks.

You know what, the mark looked British to me. Because of the lack of hallmarks I didn’t bother looking there though. I almost did 5 different times but lack of hallmarks dissuaded me each time. There are no additional marks btw. I wonder if it is indeed Bishton & Fletcher, if it’s not hallmarked because it’s an inconsequential amount of silver and too burdensome to mark the small, ornate, delicate handle. I mean obviously smaller and more delicate things have been marked but I’m just spitballing. It certainly looks like their mark. Anyone have any experience with British pieces without hallmarks?

I think you are correct, Dagger. We have seen other small items without the additional marks that are only placed by the assayer. Jewelry often does not have the space for a full set too.

Thank you for confirming. I should have gone with my gut and looked British off the bat.
