Featured Help identify asian? hexagonal bowl

    asianbowltopveiw.JPG asianbowlside.JPG asianbowlbottom.JPG asianbowlupsidedown.JPG Found this at a thrift store many years ago. Still havent figured out exactly what it is. Any info would help thanks.

    I see a bit Asian. The bowl itself is Japanese Satsuma earthenware IMO, while the decoration seems to be American. I seems to have been a kind of fashion in early 20th c to decorate Satsuma blanks. When you search for "American Satsuma", you will find quite a few similar pieces.
