Hello all, back with another gift from my great grandmother. This time I have a 2 bottle set with some interesting features and both have metal unique hanging banners with them.

    The ' banners'
are separate from the glass......and were added later..

Thanks so much, you all never fail to amaze me! I appreciate the information, @komokwa I had told my grandmother that I thought the banners were an addon but neither one of us was sure.

Strange that the banners would be separate when I literally own the EXACT same set banners and all. One heck of a coincidence.

they made a bunch of this glass style.....and countless badges....

maybe yours came from the same retail outlet originally offering the same badges..

but they were still sold seperatly ....... imo !!!!!

They're known as labels or tickets here.

Wow thats a lot of footwork! My grandparents purchased them in California in the late 60's and they were indeed offered with the labels. I've found a few for sale on ebay and etsy with the same labels. Looks like the last picture proves my point. Thanks Komokwa!

I have sold some of those liquor tags on their own. Some sell nicely, others not so much.

I have to laugh at the hobnail on liquor decanters- bumps on bottles were used to indicate the bottle contained poison!

I have seen drinking glasses from I think Briard that had Poison on them.
I think also one of the high end dept stores put out a line where some of the drinking glasses for barware said Poison. Some are quite popular.

I have a tag that simply says BOOZE

I sold a bottle ticket which simply had the word Reading on it. Rare as hen's teeth.

They also came in different materials such as sterling silver, silver plate, and pewter.
