    Hi guys,
Both tested as Bakelite with simichrome. My sniffer is no good so I cannot tell by the smell. Someone told me the smaller bead necklace could be faturan.

What are your thoughts on either?

    Thank you so much

The term faturan is often used for phenolic resin from Asia Minor and the Middle East. There is still confusion as to whether faturan, as something separate from Bakelite, even exists, but according to this source 'faturan' does not test positive for Bakelite:

If so, your beads are not faturan.

For amber? I did shine it on the yellow looking ones and don’t think I got a reaction. Is that what you mean?
Also, would the color be butterscotch and not egg yolk?
    Thank you for helping
