Hey there - I just picked up a Vintage fridge and will start restoration soon! Would you be OK to chat? Never done it before and I could use your tips and tricks :)

    Hello
I have the almost identical GE frig that my grandfather bought new. It has a build sticker of 1953. It's been 4unnjng constantly by him and th3n by me since then. Just a few weeks ago it started popping a gfci outlet even though it only has a 2 prong plug. I'm hoping it just needs a good cleaning and will pull off the back cover to inspect the insides. The paint both inside and outside is excellent, so only the mechanics ar3 in question. Do you have instructions on how to check and clean the Mechanicals? I also plan to replace the power cord with a grounded 3 prong plug. Thanks
