Just a tip for those considering buying Cushman pieces of Vermont. I've noticed overly optimistic asking prices for the more common examples of the 30'-50's with conservative design. The ones that have really jumped in value are the unusual, a bit over the top in design such as the pictured 'Peterburo' chair of 1935 with massive arms.. . I've seen high auction results on these kind of pieces. High end designers are offering the quirky 1930's pieces to clients for high prices. Cushman is niche collectible (ya love it or hate it). That being said, all of their furniture was very well made - one of the last of the old school New England furniture makers. 239165980_190875546439454_2185273824852965775_n.jpg

That looks like a useful chair. The arms are wide enough to hold a tablet or ereader. And it comfy-looking.
