    Hello, Diane.

How big is it? Where are you - US? Any marks on the bottom?

I was thinking that at first, stracci, but only in the UK, I think. I've never heard the term used here in the US. Have you?

It is approx. 5 1/2 inches to 6 to the top of the cover. There are no marks on it.

Yes, I have heard that term many times. But generally they are short and stout, with room to get your hand in there!

To small for a biscuit jar as it is appr. 5 1/2 to 6 inches to the top of the lid. Quite small.

You would not be able to get your hand in it. It reminds me of maybe a jam jar, but the lid does not have any opening on it for a spoon.

Doesn't look like a jam jar at all. They don't have the bailed handle this has.

Well, I do love it, and yes the bee is really sweet. I'm in Vt.

By the way, it looks more like glass than a ceramic item from the picture. Is that what it looks like in person?

With the bee on it I might think it is a Honey Jar. (holder)
