Thanks.

IMHO, I suspect the item is molded plastic, however, if it is made from ivory, I would not repair because it would become worthless. If it is plastic, trying to fill with epoxy is a mean business and messy, but that is your choice.

It’s for sure not plastic I have about 3 hundred pieces of carved ivory I have been collecting it for about 10 years now I know that it might offend some people that is anti ivory but I like it and it is what it is The process of getting ivory is terrible thing but when u see a beautiful piece of ivory art somewhere sitting on a shelf I will pick it up to me it’s art …

I would not attempt repair for the reason I cited, but it is your decision.

I know of no way to properly repair a tooth like that...
once it splits like that , it's dried out...and can't be forced back together..

I know nothing about Ivory but if it was mine I wouldn’t attempt a repair. It’s beautiful as it is and for me doesn’t detract.
It might to serious collectors but they are unlikely to want it repaired. If the repair goes badly then it’s finished!.
As I say, I know nothing, just the musings of a total amateur for what they are worth.

I’m on the leave it as it is fence. That said about the only repair that could possibly be aesthetically pleasing might be Kintsugi, and at that if it can possibly be done on ivory with silver. Mind you, I can not find any ivory repaired this way, but with over 300 pieces under your belt it could be a valid attempt to recover this one. Let others on here with far more knowledge opine as I am far from experienced. Just thinking outside of the box and would love to get shot down on the feasibility.

I bet Kyra could do it, but wouldn't attempt it myself. I'd just make things worse.

As long as it's stable I'd leave it as is.

Thanks everyone for all the great replies I guess I will just leave it as is I was just concerned it might get worse that’s why I thought maybe some light epoxy to strengthen it but it seems very strong. The bezel is marked 10k if anyone is wondering …thanks once again everyone love reading all the posts.

I completely misread the size of it from the photos and thought it was much bigger!
