    A fun find! Armitage basin, presumably a salesman’s sample at approximately 10cm tall.
    Any ideas on date please?

    Oh, that is FABULOUS. I'd think from the style and being black, it's 20s or 30s.

    These weren't so much samples, as little gifts to customers: you'd put matches or something in them, business cards. They'd sit on a desk or even a shop counter.
