    it’s large and heavy. Maybe pot metal? Was wondering if anyone knows age, origin, maker or?

    First thought is 1940s into early 50s and pot metal.

    If it is vitreous enamel,the piece is not pot metal.

    Agree, I don't think pot metal. Almost wondering if this could be more recent, like 1980/1990s? I haven't seen an older piece looking quite like this but maybe just haven't run into it yet. Not saying this is Catherine Popesco, but like her jewelry, maybe newer with a nod to older?? The enamel seems nicely done. Interesting how the back has that iridescence.

    Very pretty brooch!
