Can we count 'discoveries of our own stuff' as well? I spent the year cleaning, clearing, and sorting through boxes of things I never opened after moving 20 yrs ago to somewhere I had room to store things (and not buying more!). So they are kind of "new" to me, seeing again, also finding out some things now have more value than what I paid for them, eons ago.

And I'd like to sell 2 items. So can I post here (just one photo each) and then post in the categories and add more? Except you don't have a category for one of them - a 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers National Championship bat (w. Jackie Robinson on it). Please advise where to add that? Thanks!

The other will go to Military and this I bought 20 yrs ago from a old neighbor (old enough to have brought it back with him), who was BD-bat_1500w_3756.jpg SV135ArmyNescoMermite-fullset_900h.jpg moving away, for maybe $15-20. It's in near-perfect condition and I know worth far more now but having read horror stories about eebah-humbug I won't try and sell through that. Here are the photos:

I don't buy much. most of the good stuff I get comes free or I even get paid to take it away.:D

However two purchases this year that I'm pleased with are two cars.

The silver one is a diesel for work and the black one is for Sunday's
The black one is one of only 18 in the UK,
3 litre, straight 6 cyl, 24 valve, twin turbo, AWD.

I get around 275 miles per tank on the black one and 700 miles on the silver one.

That dog likes to get in every photo :D

Okay, that might be confusing (above post) because I'm still learning the forum. I'd like input on these two things and possible suggestions for how to go about selling - and then I'll put on the Selling forum. And is the Selling forum just for members? I'm still exploring all that's available here so bear with me - and for sure let me know when I'm doing it wrong. Thanks!

For getting info and advice, put the baseball bat in Antique Discussion and the mess kit in Militaria. Yes the Sell Forum is just for members (see the Rules thread at the top of the Sell Forum list for protocol.) But wait to set them up there until after you get the input of others about best place to sell and other suggestions.

I wouldn't hold out much luck in the sell forum.
I don't know of anyone that has sold or bought anything there.

On our sister site CoinTalk several members have had bad experiences selling and buying and the mods advise not to use it.

Okay, thank you, Bakersgma re where to enter the bat. I'll read more for sure. Lots to read that I haven't. But that's okay! :)

Thank you, Davey - that's unfortunate. But I suppose with so many members, it's inevitable some are on here just to scam others. The way of the world.

I'm stuck on three items. The bowls I got for $10 from a thrift store and the other two won at auction for $20 ea. Nobody noticed the bisque wall plaque had a tiny little "ENS" (Karl Ens 1900-1919) mark on the rear.

Love them all, but the plaque teases the cameo addict in me.
