    Thanks for the vote of confidence S Wolf, but these lids do not look like Palembang silver to me. Palembang silver is characterised by repoussé work, like the bowl on the left:

    On the right an Aceh lime box for sirih/betel use.

    If that's Peranakan, then it's the plainest Peranakan I've seen in my life!! The silversmith must've been sick that day.

    It doesn't say Peranakan, it says Palembang (SE Sumatra).
    But the silver isn't Palembang either, imo. Palembang silver is like my bowl in the photo above, much more elegant and refined.
    I think only the wooden box is Palembang, and the betel set finds its origins further northwest on Sumatra, possibly Padang. The box is beautiful.

    As for the lids, just a little Chinese or Peranakan influence on the finials.
