Afraid I can't help with this one.
Be sure to check back tomorrow. People come and go at all hours.

You may want to try taking a few pictures in sunlight. The yellow from the lighting is making it difficult to see.

Will also need a picture of the covered dish straight on from the side. People will want to see the stem.

Hi Dan and welcome - I did find your piece without the cover in my LE Smith book (Tom Felt). If anyone has the book it is shown in Plates 774, 775, & 776. It's identified as "Carrie" powder jar. There's a line drawing of the base dated January 27, 1937. I doubt very much it left the factory in that condition. Your version is rather hopelessly over-decorated. Is it pink or crystal? I'm not sure I see the part about 5th Street but it could be the address of the retailer.

LE Smith bought molds from other glass makers.

My opinion is that yours is from the early 1900s. Many times they used that gold gilt to enhance the glass. Think eapg glass, milk glass, goofus glass, etc. The gilt is probably the remnants of decades old paint.

You need to resize your pictures to what is it boardies?

    400x600 or 600x800?

Can you put some baking powder, or cinnamon on the marks, lightly dust and retake the photo. The lettering might stand out a little more.
