Steel Canteen Bottle

    Any suggestions on origin, age etc? It is about 11 1/2" tall. Can't tell for sure if that is leather?

    Looks like hide of some sort.
    I'd try looking towards East Africa first......they like wrapping stuff with leather bands.

    We had something very similar to this on on of the groups and it ended up being an African water jug of, likely, fairly modern vintage.
