Hi, this is my first post. I ended up here looking for information about, a variety of antique furniture my uncle inherited long ago. He is old now, and wants to sell them among another things and move into smaller house, but he doesn't know any information about the furniture, or what is worth. I hope you can help us guys.

The only thing I've been able to gather formation from, is a set of bedroom furniture made of wood that imitates bamboo.

I've found a couple of similar pieces from this one on sale, and the description says, they're french and from the late 19th century.

I don't have any information about the vanity and the bedside table. Just that they belong to the same bedroom set as well as the cabinet

From the next pieces, I haven't been able to find any information at all. I don't even know what the proper names are for these pieces of furniture, except for the vitrine, of course.

The faux bamboo looks contemporary and should have a manufactures name in a drawer or on the back.

PS: If it is as old as the late 1800s it stands the test of design-time.

You've all noticed that the 2 china cabinets are not "bamboo" right?

All of these pieces are very beautiful and look old to me.
If you have the room for them, I would urge you to buy them from your uncle.
I don't know what a "fair" price between family members would be?
Perhaps y'all can work out a deal you can go for! :)

Your two cabinets are interesting. Can't say I have ever seen mated pairs that are nearly the opposite of each other. All I can tell you is they are not American. Maybe French or Belgian? Probably very early 20th century..... or, if you will, Edwardian. Here in the States we would call the first a china cabinet. Not sure what we would call the second. If you can find a value for a similar china cabinet, would think the second would be valued about the same.

I have a question - why do the 2 cabinets have wood boxes(?) built around the bottoms?
