Homemade necklace, nice sterling clasp I am going to use for something else as it doesn’t hang nicely.

Ugly 925S rose gold coloured necklace, definitely a seller!.

Sterling necklace, gold wash, nice real Pearl. Any ideas on that crown logo?

Could be chevron fluorite on the 3rd piece.

Very clear stripes, does this count as chevrons?
It’s such a pretty stone, I’m surprised I don’t see it used more often.

 

The chevrons look like a "V" and the green in the stone makes it fluorite.There is a chevron amethyst,but it is mostly purple and white chevrons.

 

Fluorite for sure. The crown might be Hallmark Stores, the American greeting card company. They did some sterling.

 

Could be, the crown is very similar.
That has to be the worst name to use as a search term though! I gave up when I got about 10 million hits

 

I think your small tumbler? is Jeanette Floral AKA Poinsettia done in uranium green. There is a "flat" juice tumbler that is listed 4" tall & holds 5 ounces.

I have been unable to find a listing for Hallmark Stores in any of my silver references, printed or online. Do you remember where you saw this?

 

This is the Hallmark crown which, now I look closely is quite different unless they used a different one for jewellery?

 

But how do you know it was used on precious metal jewelry by the same company as the one that made greeting cards?

Thanks, Hollyblue. So it hasn't been the case for a long time and the mark they intend to use is a "heart" rather than a crown. Good to know in case one shows up here.

 

I've owned enough of it over the years. Still do have some, in fact. It was sold in their stores and probably in a few authorized retailers. The vast majority was costume but the idea that they made some sterling too is ringing some bells. The costume bits were often quite nice, but resale values are in the basement. I'd imagine the name itself is to blame; how do you find something named Hallmark?

 

There are 2 companies named Hallmark listed in Rainwater. Neither is associated with the card company. According to what Hollyblue posted the greeting card maker started in the jewelry only 6 years ago in 2016, selling exclusively in JC Penney. Were they selling some other way before that?

 

In their own shops. The jewelry goes back into the 70s because I have 70s pieces purchased new. 1976 is more like it; the guide is only about 40 years off!
