You may have your photos set to private as it won't allow me to view.

Say it slowly is right - your pictures have been set to Private which does not allow the rest of us to see them.

Your photo show now but I've not found your mark either. I did find two examples of lamps similar to yours that are for sale but no ID is given or even mention of a mark. Other information such as "Victorian" should be taken with a grain of salt. You could watch them to see if anyone buys at the prices they're asking to see what the market might bring.

Could the backmark be an importers mark, Such as 'Alfretto London' who had a similar mark on imports. I take it as a stylised crown under the initials AA.

I think it might be an italian mark. As there is a similar backmark for a Italian porcelain manfacturer that has the AA initials in the same format. Also there is a hint of capimonte in the mark in the form of the crown, so might be a german manufacturer giving reognition to the italian.

    For example..

I doubt very much this is the ocmpany behind the lamps. There were versions of this comnpanies logo's used, some good and some not so good. I think the Italian company is a better candidate, but i am having trouble finding it.

I've been wondering if it's an importers mark also. I did wondered if AA Importing ever used a mark but I really don't know.

I thought it might be a rising sun so I did a quick look through Gothegorg Japanese marks without seeing it.

I did look through my book of Italian marks without seeing it either.

The rising sun also sprang to mind :) ...Well, I am sure i will find something along the way on the next research, and will return and post it here.

I found this handy reference book if anyone needs it, it has both oriental and european. It is likely already in the Glass and Pottery references.

Brilliant, Well done Say it Slowly. I had actually looked at that page.So it is attributed to Asia and is not german. The Cherub like figurines look quite well done. The base appears to modern, but those Cherub like figurines have a good quality to them. Asia has exceptional porcelain techniques when they want too. Japanese or Chinese I wonder. The brass suggests Chinese.

Your welcome Benjamen and i think they are actually quite good lamps. Asia does make some of the best porcelain in the world anyway so no harm they are from Asia as Say_it_Slowly discovered.
