Featured Two more cameo pieces...need help...

So I bought the pearl set with the cameo on it just because I thought it was beautiful. However i don’t think it’s oearls. It looks like moonstones. I know it was bought at an estate sale but that’s it....anyone? What’s the value? Just wondering if I paid too much. And I got the little cameo pendant for $3 lol can’t go wrong.

 

The beads look like polished shell to me.

 

The first cameo looks like mother of pearl to me.. while I don't know its exact value, I think it's more than $3 for sure..

 

I swear they glow like moonstones...opaque in some areas very shiny but in a weird way...I love them. Only thing is that the clasp that attaches to the cameo is broken and idk where to go to get it fixed. I obviously don’t want to go to any jewelry place and have them put a big shiny silver clasp on my vintage piece...

 

No I was talking about the second cameo . The pendant. Cheap little thug that came from my friends grandmothers estate

No not like plastic it just looks cheap to me. But I’m no expert. Very far from it. That’s why I put it up here to get opinions...

 

The beads look like mother of pearl to me, MOP has that mix of flat and luminescence you are seeing.

Thanks! Love all of the information you guys provide! I just recently started gaining interest in vintage/antique items so I pretty much know nothing but I want to know all I can!!!! I find the history behind every piece to be so fascinating! So I guess what I wanted to know is ..is it junk? It cost me pretty much nothing so I went for it...I have a newfound fascination for cameos...

 

Neither is fine jewellery, but the MOP necklace should attract some interest if in good condition. I can't tell from the photos: are both ends of the bead strand attached to the clasp & in the same way?

Does the cameo pendant have all its stones?

Well that’s the problem the one side of the clasp is broken but both look to be original clasps and the cameo looks to be original and yes it has all of its stones
