Ignorant Owner

Dupont sale is a bit disappointing to me, there are some great pieces for sure but I was expecting more. A lot of his stuff I am sure is going to Winterthur, a former Dupont estate, and now a museum & research center.
I checked the other sales, of course, it is not going to be a great year for EA furniture, dunno about the other collecting categories.
That's the way it goes, not every year is spectacular, some are just so-so.
I made the correct decision on the eastern shore cupboard in August.

 

Yeah, I don't know about this, a bit too clever for my taste when compared to how period cupboards looked originally. Either paint it or not, half & half is a bit odd. But, it was built to sell so, it doesn't matter what I think!
