I looked back and you can add Dropbox to your phone, then use settings to:

    turn on "camera uploads"

I have "configure pass code" turned off

Then Dropbox will help you link to your computer

Turn off "use cellular data" so it will only upload when you have wireless service

My camera resolution is set at 2048 x 1152 and they upload just fine

What kind of cloth are you using for background - it looks nice. :)[/QUOTE]

Plain old white cotton pillow case.

STOP THE PRESSES!! Guess I needed some eggnog to rehydrate my eyes. I just spotted a smith's stamp on the side of the large round filigree brooch, a lions head in profile. Quick Google pops up a very similar Austro-Hungarian source but the link is bad. lionmail2.jpg austro-hungarian.jpg But this is exciting, no?

What was the site that had the bad link to the lion's head?

I couldn't find that either - at least not a Wikipedia page that included the A-H lion head.

Here's the page of 1866-1922 A-H marks on 925-1000. Not nearly as clear, but definitely shows a different cartouche shape.

Germans, Austrians & Bohemians do love their bears, yah

If that's what it is, seems like it would be kind easy to find... But - nothing, so far

Ah, you've led a sheltered life, when it comes to European regional jewellery crosses.:playful:
    Northwest Germany:

Slovakia, Austro-Hungarian style, 6.5 cm 2 1/2" high, if I remember correctly (too lazy to open the Austro-Hungarian box):

These Ottoman style bracelets were very popular in the late 19th-early 20th century. It depends on the type of clasp whether Ottoman or Central or Southern European made. The pin clap is Ottoman, the box clasp, like Darkwing's is Central or Southern European. A lot were made in Germany.

It doesn't have the Austro-Hungarian cartouche.:(
It looks very much like another lion's head, which I can't believe is right. Lyon, France, 1780-91.:jawdrop: I'm sure someone will correct me on that. If no one has, I'll take a photo later on.

It is a gorgeous collection, mostly Central and Southern European. The clip earrings with the domes with bell dangles are from Afghanistan/Pakistan/India, take your pick.:D

    Cool!

The lion mark is not on all Austrio-Hungarian small/miniature indexes

    Just the dog

Maybe you should submit it to whoever doesn't have it.

That sure looks like it! So, when I list it I will post this hallmark example , but with a disclaimer. So far, it's been italian, Austrian and now French! Nice work, AJ! Thanks!
