Any ideas about this filigree pendant?

Wondering about this pendant. It is very fine silver filigree with a scarab stone. It is not marked so I don't think it is sterling. It is vintage...thinking 1970s? it measures 3" round.

 

It is probably Egyptian 800 silver & marked as such, quite likely more than once.


You're looking for something similar. That lambda shape is the 8. Zero is usually more like a dot; there can be 1 or 2 dots & can be one over the other instead of in a line. Check front as well as back.

 

I agree with Egyptian. The little flower shapes are Arabic/Yemeni in style, which has also been introduced in the cities of Egypt.
Not all Egyptian filigree is marked, but it is worth checking around the edges. Egyptians tend to mark on the front, not the back as you would expect.

On this sort of piece I see marks most frequently out around the edge on the flat rim & often enough smashed right into a hollow ball. Have seen ones stamped right into a pharaoh's cheek. Anyplace that is relatively smooth.
