Your pieces don't appear to be a set which means they don't necessarily have the same dates. A photograph of the chocker's clasp would be helpful. From what I can see, it very possibly dates to the 1960s/1970s when Granny Fashion was popular.

And there is no clasp on the choker it’s just like a hook that you put into one of the links

Do you think the stones could be real?

I should have written "closure" instead of "clasp." A photograph is always helpful for dating. Not my area of expertise, but... the choker appears to be costume jewelry and, if so, not genuine stones.

The clasp on the earrings may either be "gold-tone" or it may be reflecting another color from something nearby? IF it is gold-tone, I doubt the stones to be real.. If it's gold, then have a jeweler check it out for you.

The way the back of your brooch necklace is closed in, I don't think those are real stones. As per Debora above too..

Yes, please always show the clasp/hook/closure, it helps date the piece :)

Amen. I'd say it's 100% costume, especially with those Ballou backs; I've never seen them done in precious metal.

I agree. Which means the stones are also glass. The 'stones' are very nicely set though, not cheap tat.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Right! The choker also appears to have different styling. And it does seem newer, based on the way the metal looks on the front and back of the center piece -- that sort of beaded look on the metal surface, and even the way the metal shines, just looks newer.

The patent is for the clips on the earrings, as I learned from the other thread. The company who patented the clip design manufactured them for many other companies. And there was some discussion that those clips might date from the 1930s through 1950s, as they were made for many years after the patent date.

The scale of the earrings could help determine date. But hard to tell from photographs.
