    Welcome, MG. Lovely ring.
That 835 stamp is likely to be German or Austrian. My guess is German.
Is there another mark o the inside of the band, centre back?

Looks to me like there is and would probably relate to the maker.

Just noticed the MG on the ring and your MG Conty match. Great find.

MG Conty hasn't been back since wednesday. Maybe he got the answers he wanted elsewhere?

Thank you for your responses. I had believed that it was from Germany. I spoke to the seller (who is in England) and he said that it was from Germany....but that's all he knew. Yes...my name is MG and yes I'm super psyched about the ring. I like my name, it's not very common at all. But to find a vintage ring that matches that is a true blessing from above. It warms my heart. Thank you, each, for your thoughts. I hope to hear more soon.

Thanks Lark...I was super excited!!! I appreciate your support and excitement for me. I am so happy and thankful. I wish I knew more about the original MG, or the original jewler.

MG, could you show us a photo of the other mark? That is the only link to find a possible maker. Signet rings were and still are common, so we really need a mark.

I just bought this on ebay. I'm in Colorado and the ring is being shipped from England. I don't have it in my possession yet, but once I do, I'll be able to send better pictures. Here's the website link to the listing:
