This small old watercolor has no signature. Any ideas?

I bought this at a flea market. It only measures about 3 inches by 12 inches. It has been water damaged and am afraid to take out of frame due to age and the water damage. The 2nd photo shows what might have been a mark in red. Any ideas of painter, period, anything? I don’t think it will hurt to take it out the value is minimal. I suspect when it was new it was quite colorful. I would think early 1900’s. Probably not by a know artist. If I had it, for fun, I might get out my watercolors and reimagine it.

Agree. Turn of the century-ish (20th.) Given artist's struggle to capture 2-point perspective, suspect someone not fully trained. But what a cunning format.

Darned if that doesnt look like Old Florida. Of course it could be many other places. I think its quite charming.

Yes, it is. Lovely composition. Skillful balance of negative vs. positive space.

I actually thought it was well done for what it was supposed to be, but I obviously do not know art. Thanks.
