I passed on these at auction. They are 14" tall and I guess made early 20th cent? How valuable? 5.jpg 4.jpg 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg

What did they get at the auction? 14" is a pretty big figurine.

I think $40 if I recall. Should be more?

Might be more retail, but when this type of figurine is MIJ, I doubt the value is going to be anything to speak of.

The listings only say "possibly by Goldscheider", don't they?

And they don't show the bottoms.

Is the MIJ mark overglaze? If so, it could easily wear or wash away.

So far as European companies are concerned, I would think Sitzendorf more likely than Goldscheider as an inspiration.

wow lots going on with this. What I noticed was that on the boy listed on worthpt. he says that it was originally part of a lamp base. And if you look on the ones I posted they have some sort of recess on the bottom; probably for fitting into a base or something.

the ebay number on that is: 194480216861 (cant seem to copy the link w/o a page of goobledeegook). Its 6" tall and does show a Goldscheider mark albeit blurry.

another one is 10" at: 194469753450; shows the Goldscheider mark clearly.
